The IX78 combines a powerful firewall and NAT router with a built-in ADSL modem supporting speeds up to 24 Mbps downstream and up to 3 Mbps upstream. The firewall has a throughput of 90 Mbps and can also be used as a stand-alone Ethernet connected firewall. The IX78 includes 4 Ethernet ports with the capability of setting up DMZs. Several options are available: high speed 802.11 b/g wireless access point, 2 ports for analog telephones or faxes (FXS), SIP gateway to the traditional telephone network (FXO) for emergency call handling, USB 2.0 host port and an IPSec VPN Server. The IX78 can handle more than 50 concurrent SIP calls through the firewall, and even more internally on the LAN. |
