More About Viewer Software |
When initialized, Viewer searches through the host network connection to
identify viideo streams. Available video streams are presented in a
drop-down menu for the user to select. Viewer's full-screen mode allows
the selected video stream to be displayed on either a primary or
secondary display. Using the JPEG2000 industry standard for broadcast
quality video, Viewer is optimized for 640x480 video at 30-Hz on a
standard laptop or desktop PC. Ideal for classrooms, training rooms, or
corporate desktop presentations, the Viewer is a cost-effective way of
presenting high-quality live streaming video to multiple destinations.
There is no limit to the number of instances of Viewer running on a
given video network and different clients can access different video
streams at the same time. Viewer is not a video-on-demand application
but provides access to any currently streaming media (video and audio)
presentation. Compatible with Windows XP or Vista 32/64-bit
operating systems, Viewer supports any standard transmitter resolution.
Final video frame-rate is processor dependent. A typical laptop or
desktop PC running Windows XP (32-bit) with Intel Core2Duo 2.0-GHz
processor decodes 640x480 video with stereo audio at 30-Hz. Network
set-up is a breeze ??? just connect the host network adapter to the video
LAN and Viewer locates the available video streams without complicated
network domain reconfiguration. Viewer also supports the EMCast
transmissions for real-time emergency notifications to the host PC
across the video network. Delivering high-quality streaming video when
and where you need is now even easier with Viewer and the rest of the
product line.
